We can stop in historic Donner Lake and Truckee Then on to Squaw Valley – host to the 1961 Winter Olympics. This is winter sports at its best . . . but also wonderful mountain views in the summer. Lake Tahoe itself is just down the road. This crystal-clear lake is California’s best for water sports. You can take a boat cruise. Or go to the beach and take a dip! Further South is Emerald Bay, with it’s postcard views, a waterfall, and even Vikingsholm - a replica of a Scandinavian castle. On Lake Tahoe’s North Shore is Incline Village – location of the Lake Tahoe’s most exclusive resorts. All in all this is a great day and a highly recommended way to see the wonder of California at it's finest.
